Supervisors have both a legal and moral responsibility to look after the health and safety of their employees. This qualification will enable managers and supervisors to improve the health and safety culture of their organisation, whatever its size or activity.

Outcomes
On completing this qualification candidates will be able to
- Understand the principles of accident prevention management
- Understand that risk assessment is an important technique for accident and ill health prevention
- Understand the risks associated with work activities
- Appreciate the nature and risks of hazardous substances
- Understand how workplace equipment and task design affect health and safety
- Understand the potential short and long term effects of exposure to noise and vibration
Who should do it
There are no minimum entry requirements for this course, however it is an advantage to hold the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety.
The course is assessed with a 60 question multiple choice exam for which candidates will be fully prepared.
