Overview
This qualification has been developed to assist retail premises in complying with the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 and the Serious Crime and Disorder Act 2005, two pieces of legislation which will have an impact on retail businesses selling alcohol and other age restricted products. This qualification is aimed at staff working within retail premises selling one or more age restricted products. Such retail premises will include pubs, bars and hotels, off-sales premises, supermarkets, convenience stores, garages and newsagents. The qualification is also aimed at staff who may find themselves confronted by customers who are intoxicated by alcohol or other illegal drugs who are demanding service.
