In September 2010, indigoskills joined the Skills for Life Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) Support programme for the South East. The aim of this programme was to improve to the quality of literacy, language and numeracy provision and help more learners achieve qualifications and progress in life and at work.

With the guidance and support from Baldwin Training, a lead provider for the South East, we worked together to share valuable experiences and develop the skills and professional development for all staff at indigoskills.

We were keen to review our whole organisation approach to literacy, language and numeracy, as well as increasing our Skills for Life provision.

The responses received and development we have made from the programme has been really positive. We have been able to develop staffs’ skills and knowledge, as well as increasing our provision and raising the profile of literacy, language and numeracy within the company.

This experience has been extremely successful and we will continue to evaluate and develop Skills for Life provision, so as to create a better learning environment for all.

Following the success of Adult Learners’ Week and our involvement with the Skills for Life Improvement Programme, we joined the Functional Skills Support Programme in 2010.

By joining this programme, we ensured we were fully ready to deliver the new Functional Skills standards from September 2010, providing learners with the best possible training and support they need in order to gain functional life skills and achieve their apprenticeship framework.

As well as boosting your career prospects, improving your skills can give you more confidence and help with any future plans for studying.

Why not take a look opposite at the  apprenticeship route of training. You will gain skills in any of the areas mentioned, whilst improving your Functional Literacy and Numeracy skills.

Improve your Literacy and Numeracy skills with our fully funded courses aimed at dealing with those gremlins and improving abilities with English and Maths.
